When is the season at Ventosilla, and what is the ground like?
1 October to 31 March. Ventosilla is about 4,000 hectares at Polán, Toledo, run for driven red-legged partridge, alongside red deer, Spanish ibex, wild boar and mouflon. A day is four or five drives, with tapas after the second drive and lunch at the end, and a loader looking after each gun throughout.
