Yes, and we arrange it for you. Every gun needs a Spanish hunting licence and, for their guns, a Spanish permit; both are included in our packages and arranged by Hendry, Ramsay & Waters before you travel, so you need only send us the details we ask for when you book. If you would rather not travel with your own guns, estate guns and cartridges are provided. If you are bringing your own, tell us at the time of booking and we will walk you through the paperwork and which airlines currently carry firearms.

Our Spanish packages are fully inclusive: return transfers from the arrival airport (Madrid or Seville, depending on the estate), full board in the estate lodge or a first-class hotel with wines and drinks, transport on the shoot, a loader or secretary for each gun, ammunition, and the Spanish gun and hunting licences. Overage is counted per gun, so each gun pays only for the birds it has shot, not a share of the group's.

A Spanish programme is quoted for your party rather than sold from a price list. Three things set the figure: the daily bag you want shown (our days start at 300 birds a day and run to 400 and beyond), the number of guns in the party, and the number of days you shoot. A worked example from the estate's own price list: 1,000 driven birds over two days at Los Melonares is €66,550 per group, which works out at about €8,300 per gun for a party of eight, including all taxes. That figure covers two nights' full board on the estate in the fully staffed hacienda, all wines, spirits, beers and soft drinks, return transfers from Seville airport, ammunition, and the Spanish gun and hunting licences. Birds over the agreed bag are counted individually, so each gun pays only for the birds he or she has shot. Send us those three and we will come back with a full quotation, with no obligation.

Fly into Madrid or Seville; estate transport meets your flight and the transfer is included. Estate guns and cartridges are provided, so there is no need to travel with firearms, and we arrange the Spanish licences before you arrive. Full board, transfers and a loader are all in the package, so the only decision to make is the bag, the number of guns and the number of days. Guns meet at the estate house for breakfast, pegs are drawn and the team is driven out to the first line of butts. A day is four or five drives, with a loader or secretary at each peg counting the birds, tapas after the second drive and a long lunch at the end of the day, usually outdoors in good weather. The birds are shown high and fast off the hillsides, and each gun pays only for the birds it has shot above the agreed bag.

Tell us your dates, party size and what you want to hunt and we send a written programme and quotation. A 50% deposit confirms the booking and the balance is invoiced before you travel; if you book less than eight weeks before the start, the full amount is payable in place of the deposit. Overseas clients are invoiced in pounds sterling, the programme states whether VAT is included, and we recommend you take out your own cancellation insurance.
