The Andalucía dates are the periodos hábiles published by the Junta de Andalucía in the Boletín Oficial de la Junta de Andalucía on 8 June 2026; the Castilla-La Mancha dates are from the orden de vedas published by the Gobierno de Castilla-La Mancha on 12 June 2026. We confirm the exact dates for the estate you book before you travel.

Castilla-La Mancha also permits boar to be taken outside the general season from observation stands, so a trip built around boar alone is not limited to the winter months there. Andalucía keeps boar inside the dates above.

 

Surprisingly wary and elusive for such a big and powerful quarry, wild boar are beasts most hunters have thought about pursuing. In Spain they are taken driven, on the montería, in warm weather and often at close range.

Our Toledo ground in Castilla-La Mancha has been used for monterías of mouflon and wild boar; our Seville ground in Andalucía for mixed days of boar and red deer.

One line of 18 rifles near Seville was set with an expectation of 70 to 80 boar and red deer for the day, and a two-day montería accounted for 24 wild boar alongside 30 stags and 49 hinds.
