With the recent relaxation of COVID regulations bringing normality to within touching distance, we at HRW are increasingly confident not only that we will have a full shooting season this autumn and winter but that the experience will be much more like the ones we fondly remember. For our international clients there is good news. We are re-opening our borders. In a limited way at first but the news that quarantine free travel will be increasingly possible for clients from a growing list of countries gives us confidence that with several months to go till the start of the season we will be able to welcome back friends old and new. The most recent survey of their 10,500 members from Guns on Pegs informs us that with 12% of shoots having exited the market and 29% of this season’s days being allocated to days rolled over from last season there is substantially less availability this season than historically. We would echo that having recently found good quality Sport to be more difficult to secure than normal. Equally significant, the same survey revealed that guns have so far, only booked 53% of their expected days for this season. We may be “talking our own book” but we would encourage clients who have intentions to book more shooting this season to act sooner rather than later. Our exclusive position at Logie Almond puts us in the fortunate position of being able to flex the release programme quite late into the year. Therefore, although we are notionally fully sold at this estate, we can still incorporate additional days. We will be delighted to host clients at this fine Highland Perthshire shoot. Simulated Game Days One way to overcome the limited availability of driven game is to shoot simulated game. There is a lot of product in the market, but we have worked closely with Birkhill Castle to develop a product that we think is a little different from a lot of that which we see elsewhere. Please follow the link for a more detailed description of our offering. We are confident that a genuinely fun and enjoyable day will be had by all. We can host days throughout the year, including in season and can tailor the size and shape of the day if a Ladies team or Parent and Child team would like some aspects varied. We can also host corporate team building days.
