End of Season Round-Up and Brexit Cup
The bird shooting season in the UK ended with our usual Mop up days with our Dutch friends, two great days ensued and some of the group stayed on to participate in an informal Field Trial for Retrievers and Spaniels. As the competitors were a combination of Anglo / Dutch it was decided to call the event “The Brexit Cup”. The judges, Roddy Forbes and Dougie Gibson did a very good job which was not easy as being an informal event - the standard of dogs was very mixed. A special thank you to Marco de Vries and Jan van Erp for supplying the trophies and prizes and a very good “Apres Trial” party.
February 2019 Spanish Partridge Shooting
January & February as always produced some excellent Spanish partridge shooting. Great birds, accommodation, cuisine and hospitality and as a bonus shooting in very pleasant weather.

We will be holding a “Spanish Partridge” promotional evening at Beretta Gallery, St James. London on May 23rd 2019. Anyone wishing to attend please contact Vernon at HRW. A special thank you must be given to the Waktare’s at GMK for allowing us to use this first-class venue and John Ormiston for organising.
