Welcome to the Spring newsletter.
It’s that time of year when we write to our clients and remind them that it is barely 100 days until the bird shooting season starts and that before they and we know it, the coveys of partridge will be setting hearts racing as they explode off the heather and bracken hillsides, providing a, (hopefully) sun drenched and challenging start to the season. Suddenly the stags will be roaring and frosty mornings full of mists and mellow fruitfulness will be punctuated by the sight and sound of longtails sailing high over the line. So, if you haven’t filled your diary already, now is the time to act, and, even if you have, there is always space for an extra day or two. Enquiries from full teams will always be welcomed and for individuals we still have a handful of opportunities for you to join fun teams shooting quality birds across Scotland. Quiz Time.
How could you “hunt” Pheasant, Eagle, Partridge, Albatross, Duck and Condor all whilst avoiding a visit from the Police? Answer: Game and Golf. In any list of the wonders that Scotland is rightly famous for; from the delights of whisky, to the invention of the television and the scenic drama of the Highlands, golf would surely be at or near the top. With that in mind we have been working with Iain Colquhoun and Callum Macaulay of Lomond Golf Tours who are developing the concept of Game and Golf. Many golfers also hunt and likewise many hunters play golf. Finally, we have to talk about Spain. It’s such good value for money when you consider that the headline price includes your accommodation and all hospitality costs.
